ENG '05 | Vice President of Engineering at Chime

Can Envarli is a VP of Engineering at Chime, where he currently leads teams responsible for core spending, saving, and investing experiences and for bringing large-scale AI capabilities into both member support and product development. He has led the evolution of the company’s AI-powered support assistant, which helps millions of members get fast, personalized answers in chat and voice while keeping humans in the loop for complex or sensitive issues. He has also been driving AI-augmented engineering practices—from AI-assisted coding to data-informed experimentation—to improve developer velocity and product quality.

Previously, Can led engineering at LiquidityBook and spent more than eight years at Twitter shipping large-scale video and experimentation platforms, following earlier work in display advertising at Microsoft, and he holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Psychology from Vanderbilt University and an M.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech.
