Jennifer Frist
ENG '93 | Principal of Champion
Jennifer Frist was elected to the Vanderbilt University Board of Trust in 2021. She earned her bachelor of science in computer science from Vanderbilt in 1993 and was inducted into the 2021 class of the School of Engineering’s Academy of Distinguished Alumni. She currently sits on the College of Connected Computing Dean’s Advisory Council.
Frist, a philanthropist and investor, is currently a principal of the investment management firm Champion. She also serves as a director for the Frist Foundation, one of the largest Tennessee family foundations. She is also currently an Inman trustee of The Ensworth School and sits on the executive committee. She is on the Frist Art Museum Gala Executive Committee and is actively involved in the museum. She has also held past board positions at the Nashville Zoo, Nashville Public Television, Tri-Star Centennial Medical Center, the Nashville Public Education Foundation and the Nashville Humane Association.
She and her husband, William “Billy” Frist, were instrumental in the founding of the Frist Center for Autism and Innovation at Vanderbilt, and she serves on the center’s advisory board. Additionally, she serves on the advisory board of The Precisionists Inc., an employment business for those on the autism spectrum.
