About the Program

Aligned with the CCC mission, Computing + Society’s educational offerings will train students to deploy technology responsibly in the service of humanity. Courses and mentorship will achieve this by teaching students to observe and understand the relationships between computing, culture, organizations, and institutions.

Required Courses

  • SOC 2242 - Computing and Society

    A Sociological and historically informed investigation of computing as an object of social analysis. How society shapes computing and how computing shapes society.

  • Select 3 of the following courses

    • HIST 1519 - Artificial Intelligence and Society
