About
Ryan Louie is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science and works across the areas of AI in education, human-computer interaction, and natural language processing. His goal is to study the psychosocial impacts of widely-available AI systems and create purpose-built AI tools for upskilling people in high-stakes relational domains. In this endeavor, he created AI-simulated practice and feedback tools to upskill human counselors in delivering mental health care. He remains interested in improving the responsible deployment and efficacy-evaluation of AI systems used in personal and workplace learning settings.
